Following the announcement last night from Boris Johnson, our update on 30/12/20 remains unchanged. Even though we are temporarily closed for browsing, our service departments remain open and you are able to purchase a car from us during this lockdown via click and collect and home delivery. Please see details in the update dated 30/12/20. 

We are operating on an appointment only basis for both service and click and collect. Please call in advance to make your appointment and a member of our staff can talk you through the procedure to follow on arrival.

Following the recent lockdown government announcement, our showroom will be temporarily closed for browsing. Although our showroom is closed for general browsing we are pleased to announce that we are still open for business and that you are able to purchase a car from us during this lockdown. Our workshops also remain open, so we can also cater to your MOT, servicing and breakdown needs. 

Our sales team are here to help with any enquiry on the phone, via email or through livechat. For the collection of sold vehicles we are offering Home Delivery or Click & Collect. In an effort to make changing your car as simple as possible you can now purchase your next car from the comfort of your own home by using the ‘Buy this car from home’ button. Click on to any of our cars and you will see this option at the top of each page. Fill out your details and our sales team can then get in touch and talk you through how we can safely complete the sale.

On our website you will find all of the information you need to help make an informed decision to start the buying process from your home. We can also offer you a quote for part exchange and a range of competitive payment options without you having to leave your home. (Please note that finance quotes are subject to your credit score and part exchange values are subject to appraisal from our sales team). If you would like the option of a video walk round of any of our cars then do not hesitate to ask our helpful sales team when making your enquiry.

Home Delivery - We can come to you.
For our Fylde Coast customers, we’ll deliver the car to you free of charge and finalise all paperwork on your doorstep! We also offer a delivery service for any customers from outside of our area. Please contact the sales team with your delivery address and we can provide you with a competitive quote. For any customers who wish to use this delivery service but wish to fund the purchase via one of our competitive finance options, then this can all be done online as well without the need for you to visit our showroom. Our funders can contact you to complete the finance agreement remotely by using electronic signatures. 

Click & Collect

You can order your car online or over the telephone, pay via bank transfer or complete your finance agreement remotely and then pick up your car at a time that suits you. Simply arrange your handover time with the sales team and we can talk you through the safety measures in place for you to collect your car safely. This is strictly by appointment only and you must wear your face mask at all times. We have safety screens in place, hand sanitiser available and an outside handover station which is cleaned before and after any collection. 

Please Note: If you have ordered and taken delivery of your vehicle without visiting our showroom and you are not buying the car in the course of your trade or business, the following cancellation clause applies:

  • You have 14 days to get to know your new vehicle and to make sure it suits you.  If you change your mind just let us know in writing by post to Fleetwood Car Centre, Copse Road, Fleetwood, FY7 6RP or by email to [email protected] and to reach us by 6pm on the 14th day following delivery.  
  • If you cancel a contract on this basis, you must promptly return the vehicle to us, in the same condition in which you received it. We must receive the vehicle back within 7 days of your written notice of cancellation. If you do change your mind you cannot use the car once you have notified us, only for delivery back to us. You must still tax and insure the vehicle until it is returned to us.
  • We cannot accept a return of the car if it has been damaged, modified or altered from the condition it was delivered in.
  • You are liable for the vehicle from the point of accepting delivery. If you choose to cancel within your cooling off period, then you remain liable for the vehicle until we have signed to accept it from you. You will be liable, and charged, for any damage present which was not noted when you accepted delivery of the vehicle. Any cost will be deducted from your final refund amount.
  • Any delivery cost charged to you as part of your order will be fully refunded. However, you will be liable for any collection costs incurred and this amount will be deducted from your final refund. We will fully inform you of any costs before arranging collection and will not make any arrangements without your prior consent.
  • You are able to make your own arrangements for return of the vehicle but, in doing so, accept full liability for the vehicle until one of our selected collection companies have signed to accept it from you. Any damage caused to the vehicle will be deducted from your final refund amount and, in the case of any insurance claim being raised, no refund will be made until payout from the relevant insurance company has been made to us.
  • No refund amount will be made until the vehicle has been inspected and signed for by a member of our team. If we intend to make any deductions from your final refund amount, then you will be made aware of that amount prior to the refund.
  • An excess mileage charge of £1.50 plus VAT per mile for any mileage over 20 miles in those 14 days will apply.  The mileage reading will be taken at point of collection. If you choose to not pay the cost for us to collect and you decide to bring the car back yourself, then the return mileage reading will be taken at our premises at point of handover.
  • For reasons of fraud prevention, we are only able to deliver to your home address and, prior to arranging delivery, Will require your driver’s licence and proof of address to be verified, we will not deliver the car to you if we have not received this.
  • Upon receipt of your vehicle it is imperative that you fully inspect its physical condition. Once you have signed to accept the vehicle we will, unfortunately, not accept liability for any damage which was not noted during your vehicle’s delivery.

This cancellation (change of mind) clause does not affect any separate rights given to you in The Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended).

UPDATE: 24th March 2020.

As you all know, the COVID-19 situation is changing day by day. The message posted on the 20th March below detailing how we can still operate from our showroom has now changed. There are only a small number of people here today to help facilitate the temporary closure of the premesis. We still have access to your email enquiries and will be having phone calls diverted. Therefore we are still able to accept deposits for any car you would like to purchase on our website and can then arrange a handover date for when we are allowed to re open. Any part exchange valuations are subject to a physical appraisal of the car which can be done once we re open. 

When we are allowed to reopnen we will update you all as soon as possible. When this happens we can then put the car delivery service detailed below into operation for customers who are still self isolating. Please email any questions to [email protected]

Our Response to the COVID-19 Virus Situation

With the COVID-19 situation changing day by day, we’d like to reassure you that Fleetwood Car Centre is doing all we can to ensure the health and safety of our hardworking employees, valuable customers and the wider community.
